The Crew Limps Into the Break; Goes 3-7 on Road Trip

The Brewers took another one on the chin yesterday to the Nationals, losing 7-2. Chris Capuano turned in another lackluster performance and got pounded for seven runs.

I tell ya what Brewer fans, Capuano and Suppan better get it together in a hurry if the Crew has any intention of winning the NL central.

It isn't time to press the panic button.........yet. The Brewers are ten games over .500 and have a 4 1/2 game lead over Chicago. That's a good thing! If you would have been told on opening day that the Crew would have a 4 1/2 game lead by the All-Star break, would you have been happy? I would have.

Enjoy the All-Star break, people. Give the Crew some credit for being in first place. Take it all in.

The second half of the season starts this Friday for the Brew against the Rockies. Get out to Miller Park for the Crew's 10 game home stand and cheer them on.

What say you?

What is up.. A bit off the topic, but I will be in town with some buddies to catch the Phillies Brewers game.. Just to clear things up, I HATE the Phillies and will be rooting whole heartedly against them.. I am actually only going on the trip because the next day we are driving to CHI town to catch the METS CUBS game.. I will also be rooting whole heartedly against your cross county rivals..
I'm a Met Fan.

Anyway, back to the topic.. We are going to be in your fine city on friday night August 3rd and I was wondering if you had any recommendations for a good area to stay and party in..One with a hotel. Preferably a place with some bars and some girls and maybe not too far from the stadium.. Let me know.. Thanks

So much so that I intend on getting my a$$ kicked and getting thrown out of the park... You see, I am a die hard Mets fan..

You probably want to stay downtown, which is about 4 miles from the stadium. There are not really any good hotels and/or bars by the stadium.

The Metro is real nice; not terribly cheap. The Hotel Intercontinental is a decent choice. You might find a decent price at the Hilton downtown. It's located on 6th or 7th and Wisconsin Ave. It has a couple of bars and the Chop House restaurant is pretty good.

Good luck.
