Milwaukee Brewers Sweep Pirates; Sign Sabathia

Wow!! The Brewers got the bats going yesterday, hammering the Pirates 11-6. The win gave the Crew a three game sweep over the Bucs and JJ Hardy provided the punch with two homeruns. Hardy has been "White Hot"! JJ's hit six homers the last 6 games and is hitting well over .400 his last 17 games.

The Brewers are now 10 games over .500 and are within 3 1/2 games of the 1st place Cubs.

The Crew seemed to have improved their chances of winning the NL Central and/or making the playoffs with the acqusition of pitcher C.C. Sabathia in a trade with the Cleveland Indians.

Sabathia was the American League's Cy Young winner in '07 and should propel the Brewers starting rotation to one of the best in the majors.

Enjoy this, Brewer fans. To finally have an organization that builds a solid club with youth through its farm system, signs some solid veterans and then trades some minor league talent for a proven soon to be free agent pitcher is something that we have been waiting to see for, what seems, an eternity. The Brewers really have a solid shot at the post season.

Go Crew!!
