Ben sheets Pitches Complete Game Gem; Brewer Beat Braves 4-1

Ben Sheets tossed a 4-hit complete game, giving the Milwaukee Brewers a big road victory last night against the hot hitting Atlanta Braves. Sheets pitched magnificently, mixing electric fastballs, painting the corners and showcased his best curveballs of the year.

Sheets is now 9-1 and has raddled off five straight wins in as many chances. If there was any time the Brewers needed their ace to perform at a high level, it has been the last month. Big Ben has been brilliant!!

The Brewers are now 42-34 and have won 22 out of their last 32 contests. It's awesome to see the Crew crush homeruns, play effective small ball, get solid starting pitching, defend well and close games out. Thank goodness for Salomon Torres!

Keep it going Crew! Let's at least split these next eight road games and then get home to some good home cooking. Get out to Miller Park over the 4th of July holiday and root on the Brewers, folks!

Go Crew!!

Brewers Beat Bluejays 5-4; Win Three Straight

After dropping the first two games of a 9-game roadtrip to the Minnesota Twins, the Milwaukee Brewers have rattled off three straight wins. The last two wins have come against the Toronto Bluejays and the Crew goes for the sweep this afternoon.

The Brewers did it with the "Long Ball" on Tuesday Night (Ryan Braun hammered two homers) and got the win last night playing "Small Ball". The Crew got solid starting pitching from Manny Parra and Ben Sheets and decent relief.

Let's hope the Brewers can get the three game sweep against Toronto today.

Go Brew!!

Corey Hart Homers Twice in Win; Ben Sheets tries to Get Brewers Even on Trip

Corey Hart homered twice last night in Houston, leading the Milwaukee Brewers to a much needed 10-6 win against the Astros. Hart has been the one Brewer that has shown solid consistency all year. He's hitting over .300 with nine homeruns and has produced whereever Ned Yost puts him in the lineup. If I was part of the Crew's management, I'd be pushing for a"big time" multi-year deal with Corey's agent. Hart is for real!!

Ben Sheets takes the slab this afternoon and will do his damndest to get his ball club back to Milwaukee with a 3-3 roadtrip. With the way things went in Colorado and getting swept the previous trip to Houston, the Brewers would be fired up to get a win today.

The Crew has a nine game homestand that starts tomorrow against the Minnesota Twins and ends next weekend against the Balitimore Orioles on Sunday, 6/22. The Brew will be without the services of Rickie Weeks who went on the disabled list this past Monday. Hopefully the Brewers can get to 6-3 or better on this 9 game stint.

Let's get it rolling, fellas!!

Milwaukee Brewers Sweep Diamondbacks After Sweeping Astros

Tell me the Brewers didn't need some good old fashioned home cooking. Well, the Crew helped themselves to three and four helpings of their favorite family recipes and promptly went 8-1 on this latest homestand.

The Milwaukee Brewers got great starting pitching, timely and abundant hitting and great relief from the bullpen. They finally put it all together and have a lot to feel good about as they get ready to head to Denver and Houston for a six game roadtrip against the Rockies and Astros.

Let's hope the Brewers can stay hot and get things started on the road. This team has too much talent to perform so poorly away from Miller Park. The Doorman, me and five other Brewer degenerates are heading to Denver today to help the Crew get some much needed road wins.

Let's Go Brew Crew!!
