Brewers' Corey Hart Out For One Month

Ticket King Milwaukee Corey HartMilwaukee Brewers right fielder Corey Hart will be out for one month due to a torn meniscus in his right knee. Hart already underwent surgery for his injury and is now on crutches. If Hart hadn't had surgery and continued playing, he would have blown out his knee, resulting in an absence that would have been a lot longer. While it's a minor setback that Hart will be out, in the long run, it's better for Hart to deal with the injury before it gets too serious. Hart remains optimistic and thinks that he can make it to the regular season on time. If he can play in the last week of spring training, then he can go over to the minors and get some at-bats with them. The key for Hart's return will be getting as many at-bats as possible before making his return. I guess only time will tell.

Hart found himself in a similar situation last season, except he actually missed the beginning of the regular season because of an injury. With Fielder gone from the Brewers lineup, there's room for Hart to step up and be a key player in the lineup. If he can stay healthy and hit well, Corey Hart will be a key ingredient in the Milwaukee Brewers' success this season.
