Milwaukee Brewers Catcher Jonathan Lucroy Signs Five-Year Contract

Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan LucroyGreat news, Brewers fans! Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy signed a five-year contract with our Milwaukee Brewers. Lucroy's five-year contract is worth $11 million. Lucroy proved to be valuable to the Brewers last season, which was his first season in the major leagues. Dealing with five starting pitchers takes mental prowess and Lucroy has proved that he is up to the task. Lucroy joins several other Brewers players who have multiyear contracts. Ryan Braun is signed through 2020 and both Yovani Gallardo and Rickie Weeks are signed through 2014.

Now that the contract deal is done and Lucroy's fate is sealed with the Milwaukee Brewers for at least the next five years, Lucroy can breath a sigh of relief and focus on leading the Brewers to victory. Lucroy is notoriously hard on himself, so don't worry about him sitting comfortably now that his future is sealed. This Brewers season should be an exciting one especially after last season's exciting post-season run. Do the Brewers have what it takes to make the playoffs again?
