Who Will Come Up From Nashville And Play For The Brewers?

Brewers All Star Break
The Brewers enter the all star break with many unknowns. Will Ryan Braun get suspended? Who will get traded? What will the roster look like in August? I don’t know anything about the first one, and as far as the second two are concerned, I can tell you that A, the Brewers are sellers so they are entering the trade deadline with pieces to sell, and B, there will be some “who from where’s?” on the roster in the second half. So what players currently in Nashville will possibly see some playing time the last two months of the season?

Johnny Hellwig- Hellwig came over in the Zach Grienke trade, has already had a taste of major league action this season, and I think he will get an ever bigger taste the final two months. He’s a talented pitcher would could possibly be part of the long term answer the Brewers rotation problems.

Jesus Sanchez- Jesus Sanchez has been awesome out of the Nashville bullpen all season, posting a 1.88 ERA in 48 innings. He doesn’t strike out a lot of batters, as in those 48 innings he has just 36 strikeouts, but he gets outs. He could be featured in the Brewers bullpen the last two months of the season.

Tim Dillard- Remember Tim Dillard? He’s done a very good job of earning himself another chance at the major league level as a reliever, posting a 2.51 ERA in 28 innings in Nashville this season.

Scooter Gennett- I’m sorry, I can’t help myself. I can’t have a story about players in Nashville right now who will see some action in the second half without mentioning Scooter. This guy just reeks of smart baseball player who does nothing detrimental to his team’s chances to win a baseball.

Hunter Morris- After a bad start to the season, Morris has rebounded and is playing very well. The Brewers have a giant hole right now at first base that they are plugging with anyone and everyone, so the opportunity is there for Morris to step right in, take it, and never look back.
